Future-in-the-Past: Будущее в прошедшем. Парадоксы? Не думаю
Если вы уже научились думать по-английски, то вспоминая о своих планах на будущее, которые вы строили в прошлом, вы будете думать во времени Future-in-the-Past (Simple). Сложно? Упростим!
Чтобы сказать, что мы думали о будущем в прошлом, используем время Future-in-the-Past (Simple). То есть, данное время используется для описания действия, которое являлось будущим для определенного момента в прошлом.
For example:
I thought I would pass the exam successfully. - Я думал, что сдам экзамен успешно. (вчера думал, что сегодня сдам.)
I was sure he would go with us. - Я был уверен, что он пойдет с нами. (На прошлой неделе думал, что на этих выходных пойдет)
